The Nintendo latest financial report reveals that the number of Wii U console sold this quarter has been slightly better than the last one but still not hitting company’s target of 9 million Wii U units by the end of the March 2014. Nintendo managed to sell roughly 300,000 Wii U consoles, as opposed to the 160,000 of last quarter. Despite of that Nintendo will still want and try to regain momentum by making the most of their heavy weights titles like Wii Party U , Pikmin 3, The Legend of Zelda and Super Mario 3D
Meanwhile studies were showing that end-user is slowly moving to gaming on smartphones and tablets. Even with this current state of the company, so far Nintendo are still not offering its games on smartphones and tablets. Maybe we can see a change of strategy in the near future if the company still cannot pick up its momentum not to mention the release of its two competitions in console market, the PS4 and Xbox one.
