Path of Exile Review – First Glance

Four days ago I was able to blog about this game : Path of Exile. That time I’m still downloading the game client and just several hours ago I finally got my hands on it. But before talking about my first glance review let me give you a short introduction of this game.

Path of Exile is free-to-play action RPG by indie developer Grinding Gear Games which is based in New Zealand. Yep I know its pretty far from the Philippines. This game took awhile to go into open beta as they spent like more than a year on Closed Beta Phase. Probably the developer wants to make sure the game will be good in every aspect.

At first I thought the game is region locked however, when I downloaded the game and installed it on my desktop its running fine which means its open worldwide.

Official Path of Exile Game Description

Path of Exile is an online Action RPG set in the dark fantasy world of Wraeclast. We’re a small independent team of hardcore gamers based in New Zealand and have created Path of Exile as the game that we’d want to play ourselves. It is designed around a strong barter-based online item economy, deep character customisation, competitive PvP and ladder races. The game is completely free and will never be “pay to win”.

Gameplay, Graphics, Excitement Level and more
Now lets go into the game details. first off, my first glance on the actual game is really wonderful. I started with checking the characters with their individual story. Come the first encounter with the enemies which made me realize that Path of Exile look and feel is blended with dark and mysterious environment. You as the one who is controlling your character need to explore the world of Wraeclast which has full of different creatures. I have also seen the passive skills which is very interesting. There are a lot of path or build to choose from. Since I picked Templar as my first character I’ve chosen more on mana regeneration and magic attack. Actually I cannot tell if my build is correct as I’m just starting to play the game. So far the items and weapons are also catching my attention as you can forge additional strength, magic or resistance to your weapon via its socket options.

Graphics were simply amazing. Its dark environment together with other aspect like fire, blood and lightning animation contributes to the thrilling experience in the game.
