IAM Interactive Shutdown Lineage II & Exteel

Before anything else I would like to thank IC DeaDPiPoL  for giving us a link for this post.

NCsoft terminated the contract with IAM Interactive and with that all players are advised to use ALL their remaining iCOINs  immediately as services for the two games of IAM Interactive through IAM wallet will be suspended after 3o days. If we recall IAM Interactive was granted  by NCsoft Corporation the right to publish, distribute, and transmit Lineage II and  Exteel® in the Philippines.

The announcement made at the IAM Interactive was surprising and I’m sure many hardcore Lineage II and Exteel gamers can’t believe this happened that soon. This is bad to start New Year.

Check IAM website  for the very short announcement. I hope nobody is playing with their front page.

Cadmus Server on Lineage 2

Third server for Lineage 2 SEA will be launched this October 21, 2008 as part of the expanding world of the said game. It was also mentioned on the Official site of Lineage 2 that dormant account will be given free 7 days of playtime. So, if you have an account you might want to maximize and use that free 7 days trial.

Gracia Patch for Lineage 2 PH

In Gracia Patch, a new system called Vitality System will be used were players can get bonus experience points when they hunt and kill monsters.Players can get Vitality Points when the have successfully killed a Raid Boss. Resting in a peace zone can also acquired vitality points.

L2 Philippines updates

All new signed-up account for Lineage 2 Philippines will enjoy one week of unlimited free play. Some restrictions will apply  like no item drops during PK, buying and selling are limited to NPC and public chat channels are off limits. To remove those restrictions all you need to do is at least start loading your lineage 2 account.

Another good news is that Lineage 2 Philippines also implemented 2x for XP, SP and drop gains which started last July 1, 2008.  With this  Lineage 2 gamers can boost their characters at 2x faster than before.

Lineage II Offline?

I was walking around the neighborhood last Saturday when I passed by a small internet cafe. I went inside and checked on some shop customers who were playing games. To my surprise I saw a shortcut on one of the computer desktop with lineage 2 offline. My curiosity led me to rent and checked that link. 

Registration is quite very easy as I only need to supply username/password and email address. After that I clicked lineage2-offline shortcut on desktop. To make the story short I was able to play the game. Not just that, it surprises me even more because the game has Kamael patched. This patched has just been recently released. After trying it for 20 minutes, I decided to logout. 

 

Right now, I believe this Lineage 2 offline version is not yet known to most internet cafes and I hope it stays that way as this is not good to the real Lineage 2 Community. Let see how the Lineage 2 officials handles something like this unofficial servers.

Tribute Event From Lineage II SEA

Tribute  is an In-game event of Lineage 2 Sea where gamers will have the chance to loot for medal drops then exchange it for in-game items.

The event started last March 4, 2008 and it will end by March 18 of this month. Gamers still have 7 days to hunt for monsters that drops Medal. Then may collect those medals till march 18 and exchange for items till march 25.

New Set of Lineage 2 Philippines Posters

I’m about to go home after watching the guys do some wiring on my Internet Cafe Aircon, a messenger handled me a new set of Lineage 2 Philippines Posters. One poster is a shot of callalily since their song Pasan is the  Lineage 2 Philippine theme song. The other two posters showcases lineage 2 characters.

By the way on August 1 the game will be going to its Open Beta Stage. You might want to try it and you decide which among the new games is the best.

Lineage2 Philippines : The First Glance

I just finished playing Lineage2 Philippines Closed Beta 5 minutes ago and for my first glance opinion about the game I would say I didn’t felt the total excitement which I’m expecting. But again this is just a first impression about the game. I still need to put more playing time and explore the game besides Lineage2 won’t become a popular MMORPG game worldwide if it’s not that good. In short its too early to say if the game is good or not.

As of this early stage of my Lineage2 adventure, one thing I like is the choices of characters. You can choose from Human race, Orc, Elves, Dark Elves or Dwarves. Check out the screen shots I captured.

CD installers for Lineage2 and Perfect World Philippines

I got my installer CDs today for Lineage2 courtesy of AMDG and Perfect World given by my game card supplier.  It’s just a perfect timing as Lineage2 will be starting its closed beta tomorrow at 1PM while Perfect World Philippines will be going to start its Open Beta by July 18, 2007.

I’m very excited with these two new online games as I’ve been hearing a lot of nice comments and reviews on both games. Most likely I will be playing three new games this year.
